Q. Do you have any guidelines for using Holistic Hair products?

A. Here are some simple guidlines:

Keep out of direct sunlight.
Ensure that any of the glass containers are out of reach of children and that all lids are secured properly and air tight.
When travelling we recommend using a screw top that we can provide and not having the bottle entirely full.
Our range has been laboratory tested up to two years. Due to the exclusion of chemical preservatives please remember to shake the bottle before use.
If you have had a severe reaction to cosmetics in the past or you have a chronic scalp condition please use the testers provided to do a patch test 24 hours before using our range to ensure it is suitable, or contact us direct for further advice.
As a safety precaution we advise not to use both the therapy for dry damaged & irritated scalp oils during the first trimester of pregnancy.

Q. Is Holistic Hair safe to use on my children or during pregnancy?

A. We have had great feed back from customers using our shampoo and our oils for child’s cradle cap and because of the low concentration it is safe to use. Q. Help!! My hair is really frizzy, dry and hard to control.

A. We have a great product called therapy for dry damaged hair. It contains a beautiful combination of pure essential and certified organic oils that can be left on overnight several times per week. Our sensitive scalp shampoo and conditioner will also assist. Check out our article on frizzy hair.

Q. My scalp regularly flares up and gets dry and itchy. What should I use?

A. It could be a scalp condition known as psoriasis. We recommend using the sensitive scalp shampoo combined with the leave-in rinse to soothe any inflammation. Check out articles for more in depth information on Psoriasis.

Q. Why do you have apple cider vinegar and vodka in some of your ingredients?

A. Apple cider vinegar has been used for centuries as a cure all, from weight loss to liver function and more importantly for us, skin conditions and hair growth. Apple cider vinegar has the same PH value as healthy skin and is excellent in restoring the delicate balance of both scalp and hair, especially for those who have coloured hair or a sensitivity to cosmetics in general.

Aroma therapists throughout time have used vodka to enhance the strength of pure essential oils. In small amounts it assists in blending the oils into water based solutions. Herbalists and homeopaths use medicinal alcohol to help convey the benefits of herbal extracts as a treatment for a wide variety of health issues.

Although we use only a very diluted amount we have found it to have a beneficial effect when treating dry damaged hair and scalp conditions that may be at risk of infection.

Q. Can I combine Holistic hair with my other hair products?

A. Absolutely! Holistic Hair will complement other products rather than compromise them. Holistic Hair is compatible with other ranges such as those for coloured or fine hair and can be used in conjunction with your styling products as well.

Q.I have had a reaction to hair products in the past, what is different about Holistic Hair?
